Hey hey! My name’s Abby. I was born and raised in Louisiana. I am a junior at Dutchtown High School where I participate in a small vocal ensemble. Some of my hobbies include singing, writing music, hiking, and bowling. When I’m not doing those things, you can find me hanging out with my friends! I've been teaching at the Crawfish Swim School for almost a full year! My favorite thing about working here is getting to see my kids improve each session and my favorite skills to teach are backstroke skills. I love how close the staff is which makes us a strong team. I know we always have each others backs! My best memory of teaching at the Swim School would have to be during my first session when one of the babies I was teaching pushed off the wall and swam out to me. And then told me “I did it! I did it!” as soon as they got back on the wall.

Something interesting my swimmers may not know about me is that I have been singing in recitals for about 8 years! And I always make sure I have sour cream & onion pringles in my house, they are my favorite!

Alanna H

Hi my name is Alanna! I just moved to Baton Rouge last year with my sister. We are originally from California. I was a nanny for about six years after I graduated high school and I loved it which is why I applied to be a swim teacher. Some of my hobbies include camping, gardening, and traveling. I have been teaching at the Crawfish Swim School for a few months. My favorite thing about working at Crawfish Swim School is the kids. I could be having a bad day and then all of a sudden I see one of my kids that is just so excited to see me and it just makes me so happy. My best memory of teaching at swim school is when I was teaching a little girl and she was struggling with being able to keep her arm up when doing her side breath and we just kept working at it. She finally got it and was so just proud of herself.
My favorite thing about the people I work with is how nice everyone is. Everyone has been so nice and helpful and really care about their job.
